The country is blessed with almost uninterrupted sunshine. There is virtually no rainfall between November and June, and a constant agreeable temperature of about 32 degrees guarantees a perfect escape from the wet, cold and grey European winters. Even though humidity rises from July on, with refreshing bursts of rain clearing the air, this time of year is very pleasant since it never rains long and the sun still shines abundantly. During this magical time one has the opportunity of experiencing the landscape erupt in verdant flora. As a result of the rains, in the so-called ‘green season’ the earth blooms and blossoms spectacularly.
